Bio:
The Association for the Development of Nomadic Women (Tin Hinane) was registered in 1997 in Burkina Faso, in Mali in 2003, in Niger in 2005 and in Canada in 2016.
Tin Hinane has increasingly focused its interventions on community development while assisting populations in times of crises or natural disasters. Overall, the association bases its work on integrated local development, humanitarian action, and advocacy for women, pastoral populations, and other vulnerable groups.
TIN HINANE was founded in 1994, before the legalization process in Burkina Faso, to assist Malian and Nigerien refugee women in pastoralist communities in Burkina Faso. It is non-profit, with no political or religious affiliation. Through the arts and craftsmanship, TIN HINANE aupports the Indigenous women and families of Burkina Faso.
